Non Medical Care

Why Use Non Medical Care

Letting elders age in place can bring fear and uncertainty among family members who can’t regularly be on site with their loved one. CARE WITH LOVE non medical home care ensures seniors maintain as much self-sufficiency as possible, while family members remain at ease knowing their senior is receiving personal, trustworthy care. And, all at a price that’s more affordable than care facilities or a visiting nurse.

CARE WITH LOVE Nonmedical Care Includes

Our personalized services and timely help include:

  • bathing and dressing
  • grocery shopping
  • medication reminders
  • respite care for family caregivers
  • companionship/socialization
  • laundry
  • meal planning and preparation

While Medicare does provide an Eligibility Tool to see if you or your loved one qualifies, Medicare typically does not pay for the type of hourly personal care service that CARE WITH LOVE provides. We can however provide documentation to third parties such as long-term care insurance companies that could help you obtain the best coverage possible. Additionally, we have preferred relationships with many companies that either fully or partially reimburse for home health care.

How to Get Started with In-Home Care

If you’ve been feeling burnt out or are finding yourself feeling frustrated with your caregiver role, now is a good time to consider in-home care. Taking care of yourself is vitally important. Respite care provides the break you need to rest and regroup.

The best way to provide the highest quality level of care requires an initial meeting where family and/or client meet with a CARE WITH LOVE care coordinator.

This meeting includes a detailed review of care needed, schedule request (if known), specific requests of family or client, and any other concerns. This is an excellent opportunity to ask questions of CARE WITH LOVE and it is an excellent opportunity for us to get to know you as well.

If you are feeling overwhelmed, we can make recommendations as we have much experience in understanding what works in certain situations.

Getting started is easy. Simply get in touch with one of our local home care offices. We can match your loved one with a caregiver who can provide the assistance they need. Respite care is offered on an hourly basis so you can establish the frequency and scope of care that best meets your needs. Because our home care services are flexible, should your loved one require more engaged care in the future, we can expand our role to
include Companion care, personal care, or even care for Alzheimer’s or dementia.

The following topics are commonly discussed during initial meetings

  • Specific physical needs of the care recipient with regards to bathing and grooming, dressing, meals and diet, mobility, and incontinence.
  • Reviewing schedules involving sleep, eating and medicine.
  • Specific emotional needs such as social interaction, activities, conversation, appointments, and companionship.
  • Specific assistance with homemaking such as preparation of meals, groceries, linens, laundry, and light housekeeping.
  • Logistics of schedules, access to the home, documentation, and the details of how to work with scheduling changes, the office or the caregivers.
  • If you would like to proceed with care at that time, we would establish a schedule, finalize the care plan, schedule a visit, and coordinate a meeting with caregiver(s).

At CARE WITH LOVE, we’re here to be your care giving partner. Find out more about our in-home care services by connecting with a local office today.
